should I buy AP

I am wondering if purchasing an AP is a good idea if I plan to visit Disney 2x's in one year. I live in the northeast and I am thinking about visiting Disney in Feb and November 2005. Is this cost effective. I see that AP holders get such great rates on accomodations - but could I also get those rates with the discount codes.

Sometimes I'll have non-park day but will go to the WS for dinner and Illuminations. No problem with an AP but I'm not sure I'd burn a day on a hopper pass.

If you are planning to go into the Disney theme parks at least 8 different days, the AP is the best way to go for admission. Then you have your hotel savings on top of that.

There are also the other discounts that you get -
free parking - not really needed if staying onsite
10% at World of Disney
10% at various restaurants - forget exactly which ones.

The World of Disney discount is my fav - can save quite a bit of money if you are a big shopper!

I saved 47% using my AP for this June in POR. I don't think the codes do that well.

Been there, done that! It is great. We planned a week in Nov. and a week the next Oct. Bless my goodness, every time I turned around, DH was trying to get me to go to Disney. "The tickets are paid for.........." Well we ended up going a week in May, too. We saved parking fees on at least one trip. Stayed onsite for the 1st time at $49/nite (but had no early entry). We bought annual passes for Sea World the same year. It was a good (and costly) year.

If you are planning at least 8 days at Disney.... Go for it !!!!!!! Be prepared to go again in Jan. or Feb. just before the passes expire. Or in Sept. when the crowds are thin, or Oct. for Halloween, or Dec. for decorations....... There will always be a reason and "the tickets will already paid for."

Rooms, meals, tours, etc. etc.
