Hi All,

I do know the kids under 3 can eat off of the parents plate for free. Since Disney has taken appetizers off of the dining plan, this limits our kids menu choices to something that's either on me and my wife's plate. Since my kids only eat spaghetti, hot dogs, mac&cheese, or chicken nuggets; that means that one of our dinners will be spaghetti, hot dogs, mac&cheese, or chicken nuggets. I'm wondering if I should buy 1 kids plan so that can have what they'll eat instead of trying to force food down their mouths.

I am exaggerating a bit. My kids do eat other things. But there are days when its a battle at the dinner table. I don't want to have a battle a Disney World. What do you think?

Thank you!

I don't think that you can buy the DDP for only one child in your group. Call and ask....if they say yes I would go for it and have them share that meal and then give them a little from your own plate.

It would probably be cheaper to buy the mac and cheese and stuff out of pocket. just buy one dish for the two of them.

If you buy the DDP for a child you also have to buy them a park ticket, so it would probably be cheaper to pay for meals OOP.

Forgot about the park ticket....yes it would be cheaper to just pay OOP for the meals.

I agree with the previous posters. Buying kids meals OOP would be cheaper than buying a park ticket. You might also want to consider a couple family style or buffet meals for some of your TS too. You won't need to buy them anything there.

If you buy the DDP you have to buy it for everyone in your group- 2 children can't share one plan and you will have to purchase a park ticket since the DDP is attached to it

Once suggestion to save money and offer variety to your children - try to go to as many family style and buffet meals as you can. I know some people aren't into buffets, but by going to buffet and family style meals your children can eat anything available to you in the buffet and they can each eat what they want at no extra cost. Most of the buffets are character meals and have a kids section of food which is usually chicken fingers, pizza, mac n cheese, etc. There are also family style restaurants - Whisering Canyon, Liberty Tree - where they serve a set menu (usually a good variety) as much as you can eat.

I'm going with my son in Sept - he'll almost be 2 then - and I made a good amount of buffet / family style ADRS - not so much to save money, but because my son likes to eat more than mac & cheesse and chicken fingers which seem to be the staples of most of the children's menus. The buffets /family style meals offer him a variety of food he'll enjoy more.

Either way, chilren's meals are very resonably priced and if you go OP for your twins, you can buy one meal for them to share.
