should i bring my handycam?

hey all!
Any suggestions on whether or not I should bring my Handycam? It's not digital so the weight and the tapes may put a strain on my shoulder. I plan on bringing a backpack in anyways. Or should i just stick with my digicam?

We are taking our camcorder, an older not so small one, for one morning. It's going our second morning at the MK, when we are doing CM first for breakfast. I hate to carry ANYTHING so this is a first for us. We usualy carry just a camara, or a digital camara.

are you bringing small children? then i say yes!

we brought ours on our january trip, we went down with a lot of family, 11 total and our 9m old. we also debated bringing the camcorder but i am so glad i did!

i also shot the mk parade, no one in front of me and it's terrific....i love watching it.

when we go with just dh and i we don't bother.

I brought mine on our first trip and I do love watching the tape. But we skipped it the second trip and I really enjoyed not worrying about it. It was a more relaxing trip to not have to continually look for a shot, check battery level, stow it for some rides...etc. Plus I was always worried I would leave it in a restaurant or something.

I debated buying a new digital recorder for this upcoming trip, but I settled for just taking my digtal camera. Much easier to manage.
