DH & I decided on a quickie trip to WDW in Feb. I can book right now flights for about $170 r/t per person, at times that I like. Do you think I should go ahead and book? This is the internet only price booking. Or hope that SW comes down or offers a DING!?

I just don't know what to do! This is PIT to MCO.

I fly from the Boston area to Orlando, and anything under $200 I consider a good deal.

Might you get a flight for less? Sure.

Might you not get a flight for less? Sure again.

If it were me, I would book it. If you can live with the price book it, and don't look back.

I would definitely book that price now. If SW lowers their fares with a DING, you can always book the cheaper flight and the price difference will be left as a credit to your account.

Mouse Skywalker, can I do that when it is the Promotional Fare? We are planning to go in December 2006 also, so if i get a credit, I could just apply it to that when the time comes. Ok, I'll have to talk to DH tonight and decide on dates.

Yes, I would book it and hope to trade it for a lower fare (realizing I had to do the legwork on it myself). February is tight on many days so I'd grab it while I could, especially if you know you're going to use the credit within the year. At least you know you have a seat even if you can't lower the price. :)

As far as I know you can switch fares even if it is a promotional fare. I booked an internet special flight just last week from Buffalo to Baltimore. The next day the had a DING fare for a lower price and I switched it. I would definitely book it.

BTW: where are you from in Pittsburgh? I grew up there, and graduated from Pitt too. Go Steelers!

I grew up and still live in Baldwin - Graduated from Robert Morris! You don't want to be in "Stiller" country right now. The Yinzers are VERY upset about the Q-Back situation! :)

Thanks for the advice all. I'm definitely going to book tonight before the $79 fares are gone on the dates we were talking about.

Thems Stiller fans are upset about the QB situation? Hmmm hah! I was there through the Bubby Brister, Neil O'Donnell, and Kordell Stewart years! I guess Steeler fans are never happy with their QB are they?
