Should I book now or wait for code

We have a trip planned for June, 2004. Right now it looks like we will be staying at AS Sports. I really want to go ahead and book my room and wait for a code to hopefully come out for out stay. That happened in 2002. I am afraid though that so many are doing this that Disney will think there are plenty of people coming so why give a discount? We could afford AS Sports at rack rate but would love to get a code so we could stay at POR or POFQ if it is opened. That is how it turned out last time around. What would you do?

I would book now for the place I really wanted to stay. And I would plan on paying the amount without the code. I booked my room at the CBR, planning to bite the bullet if necessary, and pay full price. We got a wonderful discount code, so that really helped our vacation out. (And the kids got to stay where they really wanted to!)

I'm going to move this to our resorts board for you, <b>jjarman</b>. I think that if you use Dreams Unlimited to book this stay they will keep checking for lower rates for you until the day you leave. That's what they did for <i>me</i> :)

I would also book the resort you really want. AAA discounts are probably available for June right now, so that will be a bit of a saving in any case.

I would book what you want but do it through Your Magical Journeys. They will keep watching for the codes for you. This way you have a reservation and if a discount becomes available, they can apply it to the room for you.

We did this for our November trip. When the FTP was extended, Karen called us the night before to tell us it was going to happen. She was able to change our reservation for the Polynesian Garden Concierage and saved us $1600. You probably won't save this much unless FTP is offered again but the codes can make a big difference.

Their website is www.yourmagicaljourneys.com Good luck!

Yes, book now. As CindyAnn mentioned AAA codes are released for 2004. I have one for October 2004 already. Make sure you book through CRO (if you book directly), then you can apply any other discount you find without penalty.
