Should I book a towncar service?

Hi all! We are visiting Disney in September for a quick four night trip. Since we don't have a lot of days, our last day is our Hollywood Studios day and I have fast passes for Slinky at 1:35 PM. Our flight leaves at 5:00 PM so Magical Express, which we usually use, likely won't be an option since they pick up at your hotel (we are at Poly) three hours early. I am trying to figure out transportation and thinking that reserving a town car would be our best option? I would uber because it's cheaper, but we have two kids (8 and 3) and the 3 year old definitely needs a car seat (our 8 year old still uses a small booster, too) so I am worried about being unable to find an uber with carseats. Any thoughts or recommendations? Just want some confirmation before I set our plans in stone. Thank you!

You could just tell ME an alternative flight time that is about 1 hour later than your actual flight. That way they'd pick you up about 2 hours before the flight instead of 3. If you're okay with arriving at MCO about an hour before the flight, you'd be fine.

I've used Happy Limo multiple times and they were always fine. Not always perfect (once a few minutes late, once they waited at CR Tower instead of Bay Lake Tower which I'd requested, etc.), but no serious problems. We have found that we prefer ME, though. I would never use Uber so can't comment on how that would work.

What would you do with your luggage?
I believe I can leave it with bell services (or whatever it's called) and they will still get it on Magical Express and to the airport. We did this last year when we went to TL on our departure day. I would just rent a locker in the parks for a small carry on or cram it in our stroller!

That's an interesting idea. We always have plenty of time at the airport, so I don't think an extra half hour or hour would mess anything up. We could ride Slinky at 1:30, leave, and then catch ME at 2:30 maybe? Are they still doing Minnie vans for $20? We used those last year and I loved them considering we still need car seats.

The +/-three hours allows for picking up at additional resorts, including stowing luggage; potential traffic; getting to and through security; getting to the gate comfortably before they close the plane or give away your seats.

Misinform at your own risk.

Remember then you can only have park approved items in your carry on. And itveill have to go thru bag check so pack what you ate ok with being handled at the bag check stations

Haven't used Minnie Vans yet so I don't know the answer to that. That is cutting it a bit close to get back to the resort. Who knows what the FP line for Slinky Dog would be like? It might take longer than you think.

That is true, I honestly didn't really think about the FP line likely taking a while. Maybe we will just do a town car so we don't have to stress over any of it!

Thanks for the tip! We did this last year and didn't have any issues. It's a short direct flight and we are pretty light when it comes to carry ons.

Sounds like a good idea in your case.
