Should I be worried?

O.k. I admit it. I´m a worrier when it comes to planning and renting from people I don´t know.

Should I be worried about the fact that I can´t find any reviews about the villa we´ve rented for our upcoming trip?

I'm alot like you, I want to be as prepared as possible..but the fact of the matter is always this...everyone has their own ideas about what's nice and what's not. The place I'm staying in October got both good and bad reviews...as did every other place I looked at! So, in the end it's all a matter of personal preference.
Relax!!!!
And don't forget to let us know what you thought of the villa when you return!

If you've already booked it, then no, you shouldn't worry. The vast majority of these transactions go off without a hitch. Any minor problems are usually taken care of quickly. Major problems are rare. So, you should be fine. Worrying about this sort of thing after putting down your deposit isn't going to do anything but keep you awake at night!

Well...the fact is, I can´t find ANY reviews. It´s not so much a question about good or bad. It looks lovely on the website though. I guess I´m just scarred by stories of fraud rentals.

Larwood Villa, Indian Creek. I have to say that communication with the owner has been excellent. She has always answered promtly and has been very accomodating. Seems like a nice and well organized person. So, I really don´t have any reason to worry.

Thanks for the info! That calms me a lot. As I said before, I really don´t have a reason to worry. The owners seem very nice and professional. On beforehand, I would highly recommend them.

We´ll arive in Indian Creek late 6.2.07 and we´ll stay for 2 weeks.

On the subject of reviews... I agree they are reassuring, and I am glad Freyja found several, but there might be no reviews online because the owner is a new owner, or is just not be "web savvy". For example, the owner we rented from last year (ahem, not mentioning any names, LOL!) did not have any reviews posted to her website at that time. When we got to the home, though, we found a guestbook full of detailed positive reviews!

the reviews are just one piece of information. If all the other vibes are good, I wouldn't worry about the lack of them.

...and while you're at IC, and you see a little scotty terrier dog - her name is Dolly (she owns a lovely husband and wife who are permanent residents there ) make sure you say hello to her too

We called her the "Unofficial Mayor of Indian Creek"...comes out to say hello to all the villa vacationers on her walks

Dolly and the Dalmatians...oh my!!
