we travel to Florida in 11 weeks time and I am really worried about the Villa that we have booked ( we have stayed there twice before) and on return last year re-booked for this year and they kept the security deposit and we sent the difference to cover the deposit, we recieved a letter thanking us for the booking but giving no details about booking and when I queried this we were told everything was fine, so having dealt with them in the past thought no more. Well I rang them on Bank Hol Monday and asked when the balance etc was due and we were told they had sold the villa and we should have had a letter from the new owners etc. etc. but they would contact them immediatly and we would be hearing from them, well we have heard nothing so far the only contact details I have are for the previous owner ~ should I be worried, should I contact them again ~ :confused3

Absolutely contact them again. You are sure to be worried, its your long awaited holiday you have every right to know what is going on. Pester and pester and pester them until you get a result. Good luck, hope everything works out for you. pixiedust:

As you know the address of the villa you can look up the county web site and as lomg as they have got theor act together the new owners details ahould be there for you to see and so you can contact them direct.
If not -the county sites do take a while to catch up sometimes ask the old owners for the contact details of the new ones to check everything .
Personally I think it is bad of the new owners not to have been in touch already to put your mind at rest that the booking will go ahead.

what would I look under on the county website to find this information. Thanks

once you have got onto the county website look for the property appraisers page

Thanks Jannyanns I have found the details and am now going to try and contact them.

Good luck with that - hopefully you will get it all sorted out :wizard:

I have found the owners names and address but they appear to be ex-directory and a email search has shown nothing so I have just penned a letter which I am about to walk to the post box and post so hopefully they will recieve it on Monday, I have asked them to call me asap so will have a firm reply hopefully by the begining of the week. I also emailed the people that I originally booked with and expressed my concerns but have not yet recieved a reply. Fingers crossed!!!

Send the original owners an email saying that your contract was with them and that you want your deposit back, that will get things moving.
