Should I be encouraged by this? (cancelling ADR's)

I made my ADR's 90 days out, but for the past 3 weeks have been trying to move either my CP reservation from December 3 to December 2, or move it to breakfast on December 3 so it's not so close to our dinner reservation.

Anyhoo, I've been having zero luck and it's quite frustrating. However, today, just for giggles, I checked reservations for this coming week, and the following week, and I found a ton! Even several for breakfast! Does this mean that people generally wait until the last minute to cancel? I'm wondering if I should just wait until the week before we leave and save myself some from doing this :surfweb: several times a day! :goodvibes

Depends on how bad you want to change it.
Does getting on and looking or calling add stress to your life, or is the stress of not having it the way you want it cause more stress?
This is how I would do it, whichever gives you the less stress go for.

Good luck getting what you want, hopefully something opens soon. ;)

I too have spent countless hrs :surfweb: looking for the ADR I really want and I swear I'm not giving up untikl my plan leaves and if I had a blackberry I would try on the plane..LOL

I bet people do wait till the last minute ... I'm sure I'll be trying this trick too, I haven't even started my ADR search yet.

Thanks everyone. :goodvibes It's not so much a matter of me getting stressed over it or anything, but what I was wondering was if things would start opening up more the week before we go...you know, as people finalize everything and finally let stuff go. Just a theory that I wondered about since I found so many ADR's within a week of today. Made me wish I was going then! :rotfl:

I don't know if this is violating the rules or not, but I'm trying to get into 1900 PF for around 11:20 on 12/3. If I'm able to get it, then I'll cancel my 11:20 @ CP. If you PM me and we cancel CP, I'll let you know when I cancel so you can try to grab it. :)

It seems to me that the folks who are canceling their Resort reservations & who have ADRs tied to them may also have their ADRs canceled. I think most folk wait until the last week possible to cancel - holding onto the hope that circumstances will change and allow them their trip.

I've also heard that Disney has someone going through and canceling duplicate reservations on those who have double booked. It would make sense that they'd be doing this within two weeks of the dates.

I waited about 3 weeks before I cancelled some ADR (two for one day) Just to confirm that my boys wanted this.

I still have about two months before I go!
