Should I be annoyed?

I hope that I am posting this in the right place...We have a dining reservation at MK Tony's Town Square on the evening of October 12, which I made several weeks ago. I just received a call that MNSSHP (did I get that right? lol) is going on that night and we will have to get a bracelet to enter the restaurant, then we will be escorted out of the park when we are finished, unless we want tickets to the party!! Im upset that we didn't know this in the first place because we were talking about how fun it would be to walk around after dark, when we are finished dining. Now I feel like we'll be missing out on several hours of fun and will be forced to buy the party tickets to stay, which was totally not in our plans...not that it wouldn't be fun but it just isn't what we want to do. Should I be annoyed here?

I wouldn't waste my energy on wondering whether to be annoyed or not. It seems like you're not annoyed already, so that's great. Don't bother getting annoyed, it's not worth your time.

My advice is to take it as an opportunity to find something else really fun to do that night. Tony's is one of our 2 least favorite restaurants, so I personally don't think you're missing a thing there. Maybe get an ADR for a Downtown Disney restaurant and explore there for the evening. Or, try one of the countries in Epcot and see that in the dark.

I would look at the park hours & plan to do MK on one of their late nights instead if walking around after dark is important. I agree that there are much better TS than Tony's out there.

If you do buy MNSSHP tickets for that night, I don't know that you'd want to waste all that time eating a TS dinner at Tony's...I'd grab a quick bite & enjoy the party!!

Ahhh now Im worried about Tony's...probably too late to cancel the reservation now because I wouldn't find any openings anywhere else. Yikes!! Guess we'll just deal with it and hopefully we'll have a better experience than some of you who apparently didn't, lol.

Well the dates for MNSSHP have been out quite some time so it's not as if it was a secret that it was on, or that you required tickets to be in the park, etc... so I don't see anything for you to be upset or angry about? There's two choices enjoy the park until closing at 7; eat your meal and leave or purchase tickets for the party and stay and enjoy the evening.

Either way enjoy your time at WDW and not that you asked my opinion on the party or not but -- in my opinion we LOVE the party and have gone 2 years in a row.
