Ok, we will be visting the very first week in October and I am trying to figure out should our family avoid the parks with the EMHs on the days that they are in effect, or should we take advantage of one of our Disney resort benefits?? This is really gonna play a role in our planning. Thanks for any input. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :bounce: :bounce:

October is not real busy, so the impact is not as great... Generally, if you can get everybody going for early EMH, you'll get a lot done before noon. The park will then tend to be busier than average in the afternoon.

In the Summer, the general suggestion has been to avoid evening EMH. The same may be true for the weekends into the Fall.

If your question is about avoiding the EMH parks for the whole day, not a bad idea... We're choosing non-EMH parks for our trip.

This particular question comes up a lot on these boards. From previous experience, {200+trips} we find that it is best to go contrary to the "early" and "late" hours. We have found that going to a park that does not have those extra hours are less crowded, at least during our trips, and we never go during busy seasons.

Yes - avoid EMH - what worked best for us was to go to a park that had EMH the day before. In July, MK had EMH on Mon Wed and Fri - so Sun Tues and Thurs were the best days to go. AK was great on Sunday (AK EMH was Saturday). If you have park hopping and you find a crowded park, it is best to try another.
