Should I ask her?

I can't believe I'm making one of these threads . . .

Ok. There is this girl that I've liked for about a year. I've been liking her from a distance, and we've never really talked until recently.

There's another guy I know, not a good friend or anything, that I found out also likes her and is planning to ask her to our banquet.

This guy is way to immature for her. He dumps girls all the time. I just don't think she would last more than a day with him.

So, we're both going to see her tommorow. Should I try and ask her before him. If not what should I do?

I'm half hoping everyone says no . . . I'd be scared out of my mind . . .

What do you have to lose? :cool1: Good luck with whatever your decison is :thumbsup2

My family is good friends with her parents, and if she said no it would sort of be emberassing.

What wouldn't be embarrassing?? I say go for it! Ask her, 'cause who knows, she may be wishing you would. Life is too fragile and too short to be lived in a bubble. Sometimes, taking a chance is for the better. If you don't ask her, you may regret it. At least if you ask her you know. Some girls may rely on the guys asking them and if the guys don't ask....who will? Idk, this is just my two cents. ;)

I really think you should go for it. In a way, it's better to regret something you did rather than something you didn't do.

Good luck, whatever you choose! :sunny: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Just remember...you don't want to be left with "what if"?

To me, the embarrassment would be worth knowing if it could work or not...

GOOD LUCK!!!

I say go for it! Girls admire confidence so, have no fear! The worst that could happen is her saying no. If she does say no, just brush it off and go about your business.
Then you can make good eye contact and flirt after the other guy (as you said he most likely would) breaks up with her and who knows what'll happen.

Ash, that was a very inspiring and sad poem/story. I loved it! So sad though....but it seems to be so true if you think about how complicated life is today in relationships.....thank you for posting it! :goodvibes

Ok, why do guys "admire from afar"? its so annoying, how are we suposed to know you like us, if you dont do anything about it? If you want a girl to like you, you have to atleast talk to her and flirt with her, otherwise she will go after another guy that she knows likes her.

So I say ask her, it might be a huge surprise for her but if you dont say anything to her, your going to end up like the guy in that poem.

oh yeah if she says no, at least u kno she doesnt like u and u can move on to someone else who might. ..yeah i worded that weird so it kinda sounds mean but i didnt mean it in that way.. i just am terrible at wording things.

It seems like the situation I was in.

So I say go for it. Don't let a good opportunity pass you by.

If you don't wanna ask her, at least tell her how you feel about her.

I just told my crush of 5 months how I felt about him, and that gave him the confidence to tell me that he liked me also. Now we possibly could be going out sometime soon.....

Good for you Sammi!!!

just so everyone isn't freaked out about this i am a girl and not a guy......i am having the same problem with a guy who i really like. i've known him for 3 yrs. but he's really cute this year so its really weird being around him. i see him like 3 times a week because i'm homeschooled so i go to his school to play sports and that's when i see him. he's like 5'9 and i'm like 5'6. my friend used to like him but now she doesn't so that means he's kinda free. my other friend said i should ask him out but i don't think thats right. in the summer it'll be really fun cause he lives 14 houses down from me so i'll get to see him a lot! but as for you, i think you should ask her out.
