Should all team national teams only have American made equipment/jerseys and American sponsors? Or should the honor simply go to who pays the most for rights?

Answering from a non-American point of view, I’d say yes - both our national teams should “shop local”. I’m sure it could be achieved with the apparel but honestly, I don’t even know if we produce baseball gloves, goalie masks basketballs and soccer cleats in Canada.
I agree with the above post. Jerseys/apparel could probably be US. But I'm not sure the "best" equipment for all sports is made here. So such a rule would actually be putting our team(s) at a disadvantage if the US doesn't produce the high-quality competition level equipment.
I'd say USA too, but it's not always possible to do so.
For ex: When I was a pre teen in the early 60's, my Dad tried to find me a transistor radio for my birthday that was made in the USA. He got frustrated looking because he couldn't find any portable transistor radios made in the USA. I was pretty young and dont' remember just what he bought, but just that he was very frustrated trying to find one made in America in the early 60's.
Uniforms and sponsors I would say yes, if it's available. Equipment can be a different thing because there may be quality differences and individual athlete preferences that aren't made in the US.
