Shot for motion sickness????

I was sharing our trip with some friends and I was told by someone in the group about a shot for sea sickness. He had been on a cruise that had some rough weather. He wasn't feeling well and went down to the health center on board. There was a line of people getting shots for sea sickness. He said that he got one and felt fine for the rest of the ship.

Has anyone else heard of this or had one? I'm definitely going to check this out with my doctor to see if you can get it ahead of time.

I have heard rumor of this "miracle shot." Hubby and I have never needed it (nor even Dramamine) because we are not prone to seasickness, but someone told us about the shot on one of our cruises. You have to pay for it out of pocket, but it is supposed to be great...if I were prone to getting sick, I'm sure I'd go for it if my stomach started acting up.
