Shorts in October

I'm sure this has been asked dozens of times but is it hot enough in October for shorts, I'm not really a keen short wearer but if the weathers right then I will have to wear them.............

I would imagine it would be. It has been shorts/teeshirt weather in February which you would imagine to be colder.

I've been twice in October and both times wore nothing but shorts and tshirts the whole holiday, even in the evening

You may want to take something to put over your shoulders if eating in a restaurant in the evenings - the air conditioning can be a bit brutal

The weather was gorgeous last October. Definetley short wearing weather

We've been a few times in October and it's always been warm enough to wear shorts

Easily shorts wearing weather. I was there last October and was hot walking around the pool/water parks in a bikini and I am someone who REALLY feels the cold!

We have been 6 times in October and it has always been lovely weather with shorts and vests in the daytime. It does sometimes get a little cool in the evenings so it's worth packing a couple of sweatshirts.

Wow!! I'm starting to get a bit excited now that I know it will be hot, best go and buy some more shorts now...

Basically, as a rule of thumb you should be able to wear shorts 52 weeks a year in Florida during the day. Yes, you may get the few odd days when you can't but I ALWAYS take shorts with me, whatever month I've travelled there - and always get to use them.

The evenings however, are a different matter.

i would'nt bank o0n wearing shorts in january,it was literally freezing,all the plants had been wrapped up etc, the orange groves had humungous icicles hanging off them where the sprinklers had been and all the disney water features (not the rides) were turned off!! people were wrapped up in fleeces, gloves and hats!!
