Shortening a Package Reservation

If a package is booked for 8 nights and later you find you can only stay 7 nights, can the dates be changed without penalty. This would be a package with a 5 day ticket.

Yes as long as the change is made before check-in day, you just have to call them and if you've already paid for your reservation they'll credit you the difference. Their policy is extremely flexible right now.

Emphasis on the "right now." If your arrival is after April, though, I believe some of that leniency goes away. If planning for later this year, you may be held to the standard cancellation policies - in which there may be a fee for changes within 30 days.

I think it's been fairly easy to change reservations recently. However in the past, to "drop" a night from a reservation there had to be availability for the whole new (shorter) period in the system. The computer system doesn't like "orphan" nights that occur when longer reservations are shortened. Just keep that in mind.
