Shortcuts from Cypress Pointe to the Disney Parks

Hi All!

Seems that I have read mention that there is a shortcut from Cypress Pointe to Disney.

Can anyone tell me specifically what this short cut may be?

You will be only minutes away from the first DownTown Disney entrance. Turn right and follow those roads to the parks. It is much easier than going all the way to the main entrance.

Hi Beth! I don't know of any shortcut just the usual way to WDW........go left onto 535 (Apopka-Vineland Rd) for about 1 minute until you see Hotel Blvd. and the gates that say Disneyworld. All in all about a 1 to 2 minute drive from CP.

I will pass this information on to my DH, our chauffer. He is pretty good at finding his way around places and remembering directions so I am sure that he will be fine.

We stayed at the CbM DD last summer and went to the Crossroad Shopping area for the first time. If the CP is located near there, then I am sure that it will be very easy to find our way.

Here's your shortcut. Unless you are going to DTD do not use the WDW Eastgate entrance to get to the parks. Eastgate entrance takes you down Hotel Plaza Boulevard and past DTD, with many stoplights (8 to Epcot Center Drive and 13 to World Drive) and much traffic. Instead, take Vineland Apopka south past the Eastgte and get on I-4 West Tampa. On I-4 do not merge in with traffic but stay in the far right lane of the entrance ramp. This far right lane is an exit only lane, which you will take (exit 67, formerly exit 26a), that puts you right onto Epcot Center Drive, thus bypassing all the stoplights and traffic. From here, just follow the signs to wherever you want to go.
