We are going on a 3 night cruise on the Dream then spending a couple of nights at AKL - when I first booked I only thought we were staying 2 nights - but of course that doesn't feel like enough. Just tried to add a 3rd night at Jamba house in a studio savahnah view - but no luck. The DVC consulatant suggested that we stay our 3rd night at Kadani since I was hesitant to move the whole stay. Any thoughts on the best way to make a transition for just one night? Any tricks or special requests we might make to make sure we are maximizing our stay time.

I'd actually suggest moving the whole reservation to Kidani if you can. I wouldn't go through the hassle of switching for one night...if things don't go as smoothly as you'd like, you could spend all day waiting to get into your new room. The two are not so far apart that you couldn't travel back and forth for the restaurants, etc. And we actually love Sanaa so much that we really prefer Kidani anyway. Just my opinion, of course...but I know DH would never let me do a move like that! Just isn't worth it to us. Good luck and enjoy your trip, whichever way you go.

For only 3 nights, I would not want to change rooms - you could not have a room until after 4:00 on your moving day. I would pick the resort that had availability for the whole stay, and then waitlist your desired resort for the full stay.

Me too...I would want to stay put.

Thanks for the feedback - We are just struggling with giving up the Jamba ressie.....should have gotten it right the first time. Wanted to be in the heart of things with resturants and bars - I am getting a little spooked by how far away Kidani is from the main lodge - especially if we hit a streak of rain.

Its not that far. You can walk from the the end of Kidani out to a walkway that is a very short walk to AKL. It will probably take longer to walk from one end of Kidani to the other then from the end of Kidani to AKL.

Getting from Kidani to Jambo isn't hard. Jambo is the first stop for any bus that's going to a park. Getting back to Kidani, you would take a DTD bus, or I understand there is also a golf cart sort of shuttle.
I don't know when you are going, but if you really want to stay in Jambo, then chance the move, take the 1 night in Kidani and waitlist for Jambo. The 1 night waitlists could very well come through for you!
