any reviews? is a short rib like pot roast?
last 3 times we ate there, I got the catfish.. thought about the strip steak, but we our schedule is pretty "steak" heavy.

thanks!

My dh had it and it was exactly that...one short rib!! The presentation was nice, but if you go in there hungry with an appetite you will still be hungry after eating it. I ended up having to give dh some of my food too. He had to fill up on alot of bread too. He did say it was good however.

I was there last week and it wasn't on the menu :( I was looking forward to ordering it, too. I ended up with the herb encrusted pork tenderloin which was delish though!

thanks for the replies!!!! was it like pot roast? I haven't had short ribs since the 70's!

No it's ribs, from a cow though. It's quite good but as the other person said it is not a large portion. We dropped coral reef this trip due to the portion size of this dish because I don't like seafood enough to order fish there

Last September I was all geared up for my favorite catfish dish at CR. To my horror, it was removed from the menu. I still miss you, catfish.:sad1:

Portion size is certainly an issue at CR. We ate there because of the setting (my DS, 8, loves fish) even though no one likes seafood. I had the the steak, DW the chicken, and my brother had the "lasagna"...and all 3 were pretty small.

I actually thought the portions were a good thing. How often do we go out to eat and the plate is completely filled with food. You either take it home and eat it for a couple of days, or throw it out and waste alot of it. I wish more places gave portions about the same size as Coral Reef.

Last time we went to the CR, I ordered the fish.. I enjoyed it.. but then I saw my oldest son's steak.. WOW.. it was huge, and looked GREAT.. I was so jealous!!!

My son who was 10 also ordered the short rib

It is one rib. He was still hungry.

The food is good but very small portions not worth the $$$ as far as i'm concerned.

I was looking forward to trying it last May, but our server said it was indeed removed from the menu and replaced with pork or something. I was disappointed and had the chicken. Overall, we were disappointed with the meal, especially for the price, and we won't be going back. It was nice to try once though.
