A few brief thoughts about our recent 7 day trip. Will be happy to answer any questions:
- Stayed at the Dolphin. Great resort, great location. Place is huge - takes a few days to get oriented. Stayed there because of the government employee rate (129.00 per night - free upgrade to Lake View Room!)
- Crowds: More crowded than last year but wait times were good. Left the parks everyday before 2:00 and was still able to everything we wanted without getting exhausted. Saturday and Sunday the MK was very crowded but MGM and AK were OK. Fastpass was rarely needed.
- CRT: A must do. DD5 had a great time for her birthday.
-MVMCP: 2nd time in as many years. Will not do it again next year due to the crushing crowds. Not worth the extra time and money just to see the Christmas parade and free (?) cookies.
- Weather: Beautiful and warm (mid -80's) Weekend got cooler (60's) but it helped with the adjustment to NEPA weather!
- PoP Warner kids: Much more noticable this year. Football players were mostly well behaved with a few exceptions. Cheerleaders were AWFUL. Very loud and obnoxious, even with chaperones around. Can't speak for all of them, but we saw HUNDREDS and they basically acted the same. Will consider an earlier week next year. I felt sorry for the people who had to stay in the resorts with them (there were none at the Swan / Dolphin that I could see)
- Fantasmic Dinner Package was worth it. No waiting in long lines.
- One peeve - grown adults who will run and nearly knock over a 32 pound 5 year old girl to get in line for character autographs. I just don't get it.
Overall, a great trip (9 out of 10). Take out the cheerleaders and it was a 10!
