Short on Points

I'm planning a family trip for May 2012. I've already got it booked at AKV, our home resort, but want to try a BCV or BWV at 7 mo. I'd like to get a 2 bd & a studio & we'll be short about 33 points at BCV & would have to have standard view at BWV. Since you can only buy 24 one time use points, I was wondering if you can pay cash for part of your reservation. If not, then we'll have to settle for 3 studios. I'm already borrowing 2013 points so that's not an option. We really don't want to buy more points since it will be rare that we need this many points.

You could pay cash for one night based on availability. You can't mix cash and points for a single night.

The standard view at BWV at 7 months makes it difficult. You could consider a split stay between AKV and one of the other resorts, which could include buying the extra 24 points at 7 months. Maybe you know someone who could transfer points to you?

I just came up with a possible plan. I really would rather get BCV since the standard view at BWV will be hard to get. I thought we could all manage to fit in the 2 bd for 1 night & then add the studio the 2nd night. With the 24 one time use points that would cover it. Now I just have to wait 3 mos to see if we can get in BCV at 7 mos.

You could also check out the rent/trade board and try to get someone to transfer the points to you.
