Short notice waitlist

Hello, I am a fairly new DVC member. I have just entered my first waitlisted resorts. I currently have a standard studio booked at AKL Jambo beginning 5/23. I waitlisted for a Savannah view at Jambo for the same dates and a second waitlist for Boardwalk garden/pool studio. How likely is this short notice waitlist to happen? Would I be better off to change Boardwalk to Beach Club or to AKL Kidani? We love AKL, it is our home resort, but when I booked, I didn't have the points available for a savannah view, but I just purchased some more.

If anyone has any great suggestions or words of wisdom about DVC in general, I'd love to hear them! We just bought in last year

Kidani has more rooms than Jambo so I'd switch those two. If you really want to get a room the SSR has the greatest likelihood. Between boardwalk and BCV I'd just leave it Boardwalk as there are more rooms there.

You also will want to check the website frequently to see if anything opens up at any other resorts.

It is unlikely to happen because if someone cancels now, their points will go into holding, and it will be much more difficult for them to use the points. Having said that, people may have a medical emergency, a work emergency, an accident, a death in the family, etc. so it can happen. But I would not count on it.
