We were at POR with free dining. It is hard to imagine paying OOP for all the TS we ate at if not for free dining, but I think the DDP would have still worked in our favor is we had a really good room only discount. I was surprised we had a harder time using our snacks than I would have thought - but it was so nice not to have to "convince" DH that I "needed" a snack, even if we'd just finished a meal!
Counter service was - Riverside Mill, Flame Tree, Tangierine Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express, and Columbia Harbor House.
Table Service was - Boma, Garden Grill, Akershus, Via Napoli, Le Cellier, and Ohana.
Sunday 1/30
Riverside Mill - lunch
DH had the new burger, Chipotle BBQ, which comes with a couple onion rings on it. His side was the pasta salad and a cookie for dessert. He gave the burger a thumbs up and we both enjoyed the pasta salad. I had the make your own salad and the magic cookie bar, both which were delicious. They load the salad with meat, and the meat was freshly cooked and yummy.
Boma - dinner
We both loved it. We had eaten at Sanaa before and both really enjoyed it, but loved being able to try so many different dishes. The meats were delish, I especially enjoyed the salmon. I only tried 1 soup, wish I had more room, but it was great. I got one of each dessert and shared bites with DH and DD, love the small bite size portions. The banana bread pudding was so good, very similar to Ohana that we would have later in the week (there was either rum or vanilla sauce to top it with.)
Monday 1/31
Flame Tree BBQ - lunch
Both DH and I had the pork sandwich, and got one of each dessert. We both liked our sandwiches and thought the desserts were ok. Very nice day and was so great sitting outside and enjoying the sun. Would definitely eat here again.
Garden Grill - dinner
This was probably our least exciting meal, but I'd say we all still loved it. The food ranged from ok to good. I think of myself as a "fish" person, and wasn't crazy about the fish here. Turkey was good, as was the steak, though on the salty side (though it is listed on the menu as being served "with herb sea salt"). Dessert would have been MUCH better if it was served with ice cream instead of whipped topping that looked deceivingly like ice cream. Characters were awesome, DD was in heaven as we saw everyone at least twice, maybe 3 times, and Pluto spent a LOT of time with DD. Because of DD needing a highchair we were on the 2nd level, but since we'd never been on the 1st level I didn't feel like we were missing anything. Really enjoyed seeing the scenes from the ride. We made almost 1 exact revolution during our dinner.

Tangierine Cafe - lunch
DH and I shared the Mediterranean Sliders Combo, which were very good, but I think next time I want to try the Shawarma. I especially enjoyed the hummus, tabouleh, and lentil salad. Neither of us are big fans of baklava, but I took a few bites just to see if I had changed my mind - nope!
First snack - Napoleon from Boulangerie Patisserie. SO good! But couldn't finish it.
Akershus Princess Storybook Dinner
Have heard such mixed reviews about lunch and dinner here, but we both really enjoyed our food. I chowed down from the cold bar, DH didn't get much, he's not big on cold meats and cheeses. I loved everything I tried, which was pretty much everything, including the smoked salmon and mackerel. I had the salmon for dinner and DH had the pork chop, which I suggested DH have, as these were 2 dishes I never read anyone complain about, so figured we'd be safe. Both of our dishes we very tasty, and we all left happy. Also, we were surprised that DD was offered a kids meal here for free (she's 2). I had brought a few small things for her and figured we'd find some fruit from the cold bar, but was very happy to get a kids meal for her.
