Hi, everyone,
Does anyone have any advice for planning shore excursions with my almost 2 yr old DD. I also have an 8 and 5 yr old, and I will be sailing with my DH and my DM. I would like to go on some of the shore excursions to St. John, but DCL's list of excursions prohibit anyone under 5. I was considering taking a taxi but then I wouldn't have our car seat. I was also considering renting a car as we're planning on taking her carseat on the plane anyway. Anyone with experience? Thanks!:D

We had the same problem on our cruise since my youngest was only 4. We also had 6 people in our party. We really wanted to go to St. John. We found the cost for a taxi for 6 people to be quite expensive, so we opted to rent a minivan from Budget, and go it on our own. We were so glad we did! It was our best day of the cruise. We went to Trunk Bay. It was very beautiful. I found driving directions, ferry schedules and other useful information at this website http://messages.cruisecritic.com/2/OpenTopic?q=Y&s=927093444&a=corfrm&cf=629097554 My DD 4 and I also did the see and sea tour on St. Martin. It was OK, but I wouldn't do it again. We had to spent a long time on a bus stuck in traffic in Marigot. I think she would have had more fun playing on a beach-- and me too!
