shore excursions...or not?

Absolutely. I've also gotten off the ship, walked around a bit, and gotten back on.

There is very little scheduled on the ship while it is in port--usually a few movies. The kid programming is in full swing though. It's the perfect time to enjoy the pools, fitness center, spa, etc.

Will be on my first cruise in May. Will be on the Dreams first Double Dip with a stop in Nassau. I may get off for a couple hours but plan to spend most of the day on the ship.

That is my plan - I am travelling with a 7 month old and a 2 1/2 year old next week. We will likely get off at CC, but definitely not in St. Thomas/St. Maarten.

We've been to Nassau twice on DCL and haven't gotten off. Nice quiet day on board ship.

We will be getting off in Key West and walk around for a while. Other than that, the plan is to enjoy the ship! We have young ones and many of the excursions are for older children. There will be plenty of time for excursions later! We want lots of relaxation time!

Thanks for the input! A quiet, relaxing day on the ship appeals to me, and I'm glad to see others have done that and enjoyed it.

Is the boat significantly less crowded in Nassau? We're probably going to stay on board since DD 3 and DS 6 will likely have more fun.
