Shopping on Castaway Cay

What are items that can ONLY be purchased on Castaway Cay?
(We don't sail until next year, I'm just curious). Thanks!

CC towels? (it rained the only day we were there and we did not get to shop hardly at all) I seem to remember shirts also.

T-shirts, island themed stuffed mickeys and minnies and perhaps other characters, postcards. The postage stamps from the post office--send yourself a card or two from the island.

There was also a shop or two that sold Bahaman items.

Was there last week. In addition to things mentioned above, there are other items with CC logo: mugs, drinking glasses, hats, clothing, towels - regular size and large (double size). They also sell beach toys, floats, sunscreen and sunglasses, etc...

A really nice Castaway fishing hat that we bought two years ago for the kids, and they did not have an extra large.......

So in April 2004 went looking for it and hoping for.... and they do not carry it any more...

Don't forget to bring cash onto the island-- you can't charge to your room from there.

The only thing you need cash for on CC from my times on there is for stamps. Bring change too as they never seem to have any at the Post office. Everything else went on the KTTW.

The Travel Channel showed in their special on the DCL how a huge fiberoptic cable comes off the ship and plugs into CC just so KTTW cards can be used.

I got a really nice white baseball style hat with Castaway Cay and and Palm Tree on it. On the bill it says Bahamas on the side and has the coordinates on the other outer side of the hat. On the back it has a little Mickey made out of what looks like little hurricane swirls. Magnets too.

You can only buy stuff or rent items with your KTTW card. Stamps for the Bahamas post office are the only cash items.

They are going to have to get rid of anything with with "Huricanne" swirls Mickey on it - It's a bad omen!

One thing that I haven't purchased on the CC is the tee shirt that has a "castaway" letter on the back of it. Depending upon which lines you read it is either a SOS/rescue me letter or a very good description of the paridise that was Castaway Cay!
