Shopping near Syracuse

This will be our first time flying in and out of Rochester. We were thinking of stopping in/near Syracuse to do some shopping on the way back.

Just wondering if the outlets in Waterloo are worth stopping at.

We might stop at the big mall as well. Has anyone been there?

Yes, I've been to both and worth the stop.

We visit the Carousel Mall every time we fly from Syracuse. A large selection of stores and a HUGE Dick's Sporting Goods (which is a hit with our teenaged DS).

There's a beautiful full sized carousel (hence the name) in the food court and rides are just $1 pp.

If you are looking for a great dinner place in Syracuse, I highly recommend Dinosaur Barbecue. It was featured on Man v. Food a few seasons back. Awesome food, huge portions, and only a few miles from the airport and Carousel Mall.

The water look outlets are more than worth it!!!! We go down five or six times a year!!!

Destiny USA is the newly rebranded carousel centre! There are tons more stores and honestly is beautiful inside

We will definitely be stopping at both the outlets and the mall (I want to ride the carousel!)

I was thinking about looking for a suit for ds for grad while we were there. Does anyone know of any stores where we might be able to find something trendy but not too pricey?

I would suggest JCPenney at the carousel centre!

VF outlet at the Waterloo premium outlets!!!
