We're getting ready, 9 days to DL but leaving for the Bay Area on Monday. Suddenly have realized that DH has no swim trunks! This is a problem.

Last year in October, I had NO luck finding a swimsuit in San Diego in October, so I'm wondering if anyone who lives around there, or is there often, knows if there are places around Anaheim to find a bargain on swim trunks in mid-September?

And by bargain I don't mean "go to the beach and buy something $$$ at a tourist swim shop"...:upsidedow

Thanks for any help!

Silly me, writing that like September is far off. I swear I'm so messed up with dates, I keep thinking it's still June! :lmao:

What about Target??

Target usually runs on the same schedule for all thier stores. Even here in AZ where it is still over 100 for another month or so they have clearanced all the swimwear. I needed a bathing suit last weekend and found nothing left =)

Although, Men usually are not so picky and may find some trunks that will work on the clearance rack =)

You should probably try to find something before you leave. All the Targets around here (Bay Area, where are you visiting here?) have already sold most if not all of their bathing suits. When we were at DL in July we had to go to Target and get one for my DD 7, they didn't have them in any of the stores in DTD. The Target is about 2 miles from DL but I really don't think they will have anything left.

I just bought a swim suit for dd on clearance online... you could do that and do a speedy shipping... if you get the suit on clearance it'll be a wash... good luck!

Thanks, all!

While I was asking my helpful people, he was busy calling JCPenney. Has an order for very inexpensive swim trunks, to be shipped to the catalog desk at a Penney's in the city where we will be next week. So that's good!

I just need to tease you for a moment:

With all of the 8000 packing lists, you did not realize until now that your DH needed something to swim in? :rotfl2:

(I have been reading your pre-trip report...:) )

Well, it's been on the lists, but he has NOT understood the urgent need to try them on. Actually, I thought he had several, but he only has one, and it just doesn't fit anymore.

So it's really his fault. :upsidedow

But now he gets a new suit, and I have a new suit (Mickey print, LOL), and DS has a suit (ha ha ha, he has Mickey Pirate print so he and I will sort of match)...as soon as we pick it up in San Jose on Friday, we'll all have suits!

Oh wait, let me get DS's trunks out of my backpack and into a packing pile.

Honestly, it's pathetic, how many "staging areas" I have...I mean, it's a CAR trip. We hardly even have to pack, we could just bring it down in handfuls and throw it in the trunk.

In case you do end up in a jam with the swimwear... In Dowtown Disney there is a Roxy/Quiksilver store and they have swimwear all year round, kids and adults. Summer never ends in Orange County, basically, and the surf shops like Quiksilver have swimwear all year.

That is good to know! I doubt it would be budget, but it would be something to wear! :)

Swimsuits were out at the hotel shops too if you want to indulge in some character trunks.
