Hi!
We're planning to visit a mall, we're looking for one that sells levi's jeans, macy's and electronics... I was taking a look at the forum and found westfield quite cool and convenient.
We can't rent a car so we would have to take a cab from our disneyland-area hotel. So we're looking for a mall that's not too far away from disneyland so that the taxi fare doesn't destroy our budget plans.
How much do you think a cab to that mall would cost ( or to any other cool mall you might recommend?)
I took a look at the gardenwalk within walking distance to disneyland, but i read another topic saying it was under foreclosure? Is it still up and running? We would like to visit it for dinner and some nighttime fun, but i took a look at the direcotory and it doesn't have many stores. So we're looking for a mall to do some shopping too.

It'd be great if you could help us choose and plan taxi fares :)

Thanks!!!

For electronics I would not go to a mall.

I would go to the Orangethorpe Mall, at the corner of Harbor and Orangethrope. It has a Best Buy in it. There is also the Disney Character Warehouse there. A block east is a Walmart. Walmart and Best Buy are the largest electronic retailers and have very good prices(especially Walmart). A Block north is a Cosco which may have great prices, but charge a membership fee which is refundable. You can take an OCTA bus to this area.

For Clothing there is a shopping center called Anahiem Plaza a little north of Euclid and Lincoln. It has another Walmart, but more importantly a TJ Maxx and Ross. Those are discount clothing stores.

Garden Walk is up and running.

GardenWalk was opened in 2008 and entered into foreclosure in late 2009 and I believe was sold to new investors. Its fully up and running with many upscale shops and restaurants. Its more of a touristy type place, not too good for levi's and electronics.

Best Buy is the largest electronics store but it depends on what you are looking for. Walmart or Target may have the same item for less. There is a Target just a couple miles south of Disneyland on Harbor. They have small electronics, TV's, iPods etc. and Levi's.

I am planning a trip to Disneyland too, and from what I gather, ART (Anaheim Resort Transportation) has a stop at the Outlets at Orange, here is a link to the map and you want to see route 15:

Also, all the routes stop both at Disneyland and Gardenwalk.

Here is the homepage to the outlets, I travel from Mexico and in my opinion, outlet shopping can´t be beat :)

Thanks a lot for all your help!!!
I didn't know about the ART system, somebody mentioned it but i didn't know what it was XD so thanks a lot for the link

The electronics thing was just to windows shop but it would be great to know there's a tesco or walmart within reachable distance. But the levi's i gotta find those, i need to renew my jeans stock XD
I'm worried about the sizes available at the outlets. I wear size 14-16 misses levis and i don't know if i'll find them in an outlet. I would buy size 12 though, since i have a lot of weight to lose in the next few months

You're all such a great help!!! As always, this forum is awesome ;)
Thanks a lot :D

Skiingfast has most excellent suggestions. I would definately take his advice.

If you want to window shop for electronics, BestBuy is the best bet. It is a very large electronics retailer so they have a greater variety of everything from laptops and cellphones to home electronics and some stores even have musical instruments. They also have every size and type of TV you could imagine and a nice Home Theater area to experience the best systems all put together. They also have every cable and accessory you might imagine.

If you are really the electronics geek and don't care about the extra cost of a longer taxi ride, you could check out a Fry's Electronics (on LaPalma in Anaheim) (http://www.frys.com/). They have everything you need to build your own system from scratch, but they also have complete systems. Larger than a BestBuy and prices are better than most, but their return policies are not as flexible. Unbelievable store and unique to SoCal.

You mentioned Macy's. If that is a MUST and you just MUST visit a mall, then you should check out MainPlace in Santa Ana (http://www.westfield.com/mainplace). It isn't too far from DLR and is in a pretty nice area.
