Shopping Malls near Resorts

Does anyone know if there are any malls close to the resorts besides DTD and if you can get to them by taxi.

I'm not sure how much it would cost by taxi. But sept we went to
Prime outlets and it was great

There are two others:

Pointe Orlando (on International Drive)
Florida Mall (on rt. 535)

The Prime Outlet mall is nice but I prefer Florida Mall. More stores.

Last time I drove to the Florida Mall from the resorts it took me about 20 minutes---mainly due to traffic congestion. It's well worth the trip!

we wont have our vehicle with us thats the problem as wer'e flying in. i was just wondering how far it would be to take a taxi.

The above information regarding the Florida Mall is incorrect.

The Florida Mall is located on Sand Lake Rd. (Rt. 482) and on the SE corner of the intersection of OBT (17-92/441) and Sand Lake.

It is some 12+ miles NE of the WDW resort area.

Pointe Orlando is a bunch of shops that I, IMHO, would not classify as a shopping mall in the normal sense - more of an overpriced tourist trap.

Funny, that's what I thought the Florida Mall always was---even when I lived there.

The Florida Mall is located on South OBT, off of I-4. It's a large mall with a variety of typical mall stores.

Millenia Mall is more upscale, located off the Conroy Road exit of I-4. That area also has another large shopping area on the other side of I-4 with a bunch of big boxes, including the soon to open IKEA.

Frankly unless you are rom outside the US or live in a really rural area, the malls here have the exact same stores and prices as the malls near you, and really aren't worth vacation time to visit.

my favorite. Not alot of stuff to pick from - but some very nice prices.
