Shopping lists....

Just curious, those that buy extra costumes, what are you stocking up on??

My self, I have tried to get a few extra of each costume, with extras in the hats and shoes since a lot of time people can't afford those.

The shoes I try and find people walking around in mismatched shoes (like yellow flips with gold princess dress)and gift them the shoes, or trade for whatever they offer.

I have just about all the dresses and HM suits bought that I plan too and now just have a couple of the others to do.

I didn't get the green explorers costume since it was sold for such a long time. I bought just a few yellow. I stocked up on the princess dresses and the haunted mansion and also bought some more indian pants and boots since people want them with the cowboy shirts also.

The haunted stuff I am working on also.

What I slacked on and I am so upset with my self was the pin from this weekend that is not gone. I spent my entire day ties up in the line for the generator game desperately trying to win inferno and never even bought a pin like I planned. I bought a few on Friday but not nearly as many as I usually do!

I actually made a list in word and printed it this time around. I have how many of each I am buying, and checking them off as I go, so I will get what I want.

Oh, and I bought only one extra of the green explorer, the price went up so much. I figure others have plenty of those from when they were for sale cheaper, and new people that join can always trade with them.

I really think that leota and pumpkins will be worth something someday...

actually they resold the Haunted Mansion Master Gracey Pin as well. I just ran thru all the shops to double check I hadn't missed anything new but nothing else is there. Stocking up on shoe's and hats sounds like a plan. Some people over look those and regret it later and want to trade. I have some extra of everything but I kept them in sets. (I think)

2 Yellow Explorer’s outfits
5 Yellow Dresses
3 Black Cowboy outfits
5 Pink Dresses
4 Native American outfits
1 Green Explorer’s outfit
3 Brown Cowboy outfits
4 Black Haunted Mansion Suits
6 Blue Dresses
5 Grey Haunted Mansion Suits

All include shoes and hats/tiaras.

I only got 1 extra tiara, but got 7 Princess hats.

I'm all stocked up for trading later!

I am in line with lisa (alwayspinces). Didnt buy too many of the green explorer. .

I only buy full costumes (hats, shoes, etc.) even though the top hats were the same, i bought more because if i trade/gift suit, they may need hat so i want to have a hat for every suit. I also bought extra hats and shoes too like daz.

But basically.
Yellow explorer i have 6

everything else...costumes x 12, pins x 25.

pumpkins, about 30
skeleton chairs about 50
pirate sand - 20
web dividers (the ones i kept lol) about 25

i tried to get one of all the outfits except for the explorer. i have a green one, but didn't feel the need for a yellow one, they just aren't very spectacular. i got as many princess outfits as i could, but only 2 sets of shoes for each, and then more skirts. Got every hat, plus extras. i think the Indian head dress has a big impact (they're very tall), so got three.

i thought i was done for the evening, then logged on at 9:30 to make a mule and get another set of all three princess skirts and another tiara. i couldn't help myself. i like the costumes more than the room stuff, since i'm not good at creating interesting rooms, but did stock up on spider room dividers.

i traded tonight for the first time. Had someone come up and ask me nicely if i had an extra blue princess skirt. She traded me two of the Kellogg's Pirate quest items (worth 20 credits). But it felt good to be able to give someone something they wanted.

Do pins really trade well? I still have a couple of those Tomorrowland pins that I never seemed to be able to trade away. And now no one wants them! LOL! As new ones come out, I think people lose interest in all the others. So I've stopped buying pins for trading purposes. Am I wrong?

And do people really think the Halloween merchandise will be a good trade with Halloween being over? Who would want a pumpkin, for example, for their room when Christmas is coming?

They pins trade on and off. I find that certian one run hot and cold. I like to have them because though they are not asked for as much as the costumes every once in a while you run into someone that wants them. As the game moves on and costumes are more common then the focus might turn to pins. I ran into a girl that had a lot of gold she was fresh back from WDW. I was able to trade some pinz for it and she was new but wanted on of each pin she didn't have. It is trades like that, that make me hang on to pins.

If VMK ever coes up with a way for us to display them in our rooms and I hope they do, like the photo album. Then people will really want them to be able to show off full collections.

As for the pumpkins. I find that people want what they do not have and if they stop selling the pumpkins there will be a demand for them as people work on rooms. Some people don't realyl use a theme as much as they like to display rare items.
