Hi Everyone!

We want to take a day out from disneyworld and check out some of the malls or some good shopping. I have a couple questions:

1) Which is the largest mall closest to WDW? Where is the best shopping?

2) What is the best way to get there, rent a car? Or take a Taxi... How long would it take to get there and how much woudl a taxi cost?

Any suggestions on where to shop would be great... Just looking for regular clothes... and we're staying onsite. THANKS AGAIN:cool:

Premium Outlet Mall is closest to WDW on Vineland, just beyond the Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. I don't know how much a taxi to there would cost, but get the taxi at DTD. It will be the shortest distance.

A taxi ride from DTD to the Premium Outlets cost me $6 + tip. There's lots of parking at the outlet mall in case you decide to drive. I've never been to the other malls in the area.

Which Outlets stores are at the Mall. Is it an outside or an inside mall? Thanks for your response! Any websites?

Does anyone else know about the closest largest regular mall and how much a taxi ride would cost?

Thanks for your help, SOOOOOOOO MUCH apprecaited! :)

Premium Outlets' walkways are "outside" but within the mall. Think courtyard.

If by regular mall you mean non-outlet, the closest one to WDW would be either Florida Mall or the new Milenia Mall.

HI :)

How close are the Florida Mall or the New Millenia Mall from Downtown Disney... Would it be expensive to take a taxi there? How much? I"m just wondering what's more economical, to rent a car, or take taxi's!!! THANKS EVERYONE! :)

What about Beltz up at the end of I-Drive.It has all sorts of shops from designer downwards. The Millenia Mall is nearly all designer shops and is really only good for window shopping.I would hire a car then you could visit more than one.

Beltz is all outlet stores and the OP requested "regular" mall info.

The new Mall at Millenia is roughly 12 miles or so from WDW. Florida Mall is about the same. Both have high ticket item stores and both have more reasonably priced item stores.

Taxi's add up quick, including the tips. Depending upon the rate you get from a rental car company you would most likely be better off with a rental. That allows you the freedom to move from one place to the other when you choose (barring traffic jams of course ;) ).
