Shopping in Cozumel ...

hi, getting to book excursions and things, question thou...not sure we want to book one in Cozumel, is there shopping within walking distance? Or can anyone recommend something other then "buying" and excursion?
I personally dislike being tied to one. When in WDW, I never plan either...I like to go on the fly.

If memory serves, there is a huge mall within walking distance of the port. We had to walk thru it when we got back from our day at Playa Mia. They had everything, from snacks to handmade crafts.

We had a great time in Cozumel. Yes, there is a shopping area across the street from the port. It has many different shops of touristy items.

We took a taxi on our own to Paradise Beach and had a fantastic time. There is a pool and a beach with chairs and tons of inflatable toys in the water. The bathrooms were clean and nice. They had good food and drinks there for purchase. It was a great day.

That actually sounds like a plan, I'd like to do beach then shopping...I'll check this out! Thanks!
