Shopping By Port in Westen Itinerary

We just booked the Disney Western Itinerary for Thanksgiving week.This will be our first time in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.Are there any shops walking distance to ship,or are we going to have to take a taxi somewhere to go shopping.I am looking for this advice and any other advice.Thanks!

In GC the tender pier is downtown so there is shopping within easy walking distance. Same in Coz.

Thanks!That is what I wanted to hear as we aren't sure yet what we are going to do in GC or Cozumel.We do know for sure we will want to do some shopping.

Cozumel shopping district is literally right off the ship.....IMO, Coz offers the best variety of shopping, Eastern or Western ports...Some fellow DISers however are turned off by some of the aggressiveness shown by the shop proprietors and employees....we dont mind though....I think it's part of the charm...

alexandrew-Thanks!It sounds like we will be getting off the boat in Cozumel to check the shopping out.I am sure the shop proprietors can't be any worse then the ones at the straw market in Nassau.

Let me ask you this how hard is it to tender onto the island?We got luck in December as the Disney Magic was able to dock at port in both ports of call.

Does anyone know how to find Hard Rock in GC or Kew West? I've heard the HR is easy to find in Coz, so I'm not worried about that...

I read that the Hard Rock Cafe is very close to the ship. It is across the street from Atlantis sub & the Jolly Roger pirate ship. I hope that I haven't given wrong information. I will let you know after 4/9-4/16 cruise

Sorry That was on Grand Cayman. Key West is also a short walk from the ship

The HR in Key West is easy to find. It is on the main street where all the other rest. and shopping is. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the street. It has been five years since we have been there. However, we ate dinner at HR and it was simply right there,

GC is a wealthier port, so we found it to be a bit more expensive than Coz. Although we had a great time and found plenty to do and purchase..lol.

Hard Rock in GC, is pretty much a block or so from the dock..to the right. You can't miss it.

In Cozumel, it is to the left, just watch for the signs as you are walking down the main road. It is small, but, you can't miss it either.

We loved the western cruise..it was our first.

It is great to hear that you all enjoyed the Western cruise.This will be our first,and I was kind of eerie about it.I keep hearing about the rum cakes.I will have to check those out for sure.Does Disney have to tender in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel?Thanks!
