Day 1: Arrival Day Part 3​

So! We left off with me and emptypockets pulling up to our hotel on DME. After we stopped me and emptypockets hurried of the bus and I handed the driver his tip in his cute little DME envelope We scurried inside and I took this pic:

We walked up to the counter and we met a really nice gal named Mary. The only complaint is that she wasn't as friendly as I would have liked She saw that we were celebrating and she went and got me my pin!!! I clipped it on like a proud little graduate while we waited for Mary to go get our $500 gift card!!!! She came back out with our gift card and our welcoming envelope and we walked out and went to find our room! We walked to the bridge and I took the pic of the flowers and our first self-portrait!

Our room was in the Oak Manor building and it was stunning!!! The fountain was gorgeous! The only complaint is that we would have liked to have a room on the upper level or a better view--preferrably one of the river.

I opened our door and it immeadietly smelled like home! I looked around and saw our first little friend, Mickey!

I hurried and took pics before my mom could mess anything up (my mom at this point wrote in my trip journal) "why would I do that?" LOL so! here's the pics to show:

I'm a total picture snob! so here's my first self-pic!

At this point we freshened up and packed our park bag and walked over to get on the bus to Hollywood Studios! I'll start that soon!

Thanks! I loved the fact that our room had two sinks! It made getting ready soooo much easier! Thanks! I love it too I got it at Tj Maxx for $12!!!

Day 1: Arrival and Hollywood Studios part 4​

So we left off with us walking to catch the bus to Hollywood Studios! We walked up to our bus stop and sat down and waited! Our bus came within 10 minutes and we loaded up for the first ride on a Disney bus!!!!! It didn't take very long for us to get to HS and we took our first picture!

Part......I don't remember ​

So! I left off with us walking into Hollywood Studios. We walked in and I took a picture of the hat:

We headed over and looked at the times board and saw that The Great Movie Ride only had a 5 minute wait! Here's the pics from the ride:

I'll finish this in a little while but I really need to organize my pictures from the trip first....I can't find ones and others are duplicates! Grrrr!!!

Okay! So I promise that I will make another update this weekend!! I've just been sooooo busy with school and stuff.........I have a ton of stuff to accomplish this weekend--seeing as how I only have 8 days of school left!!! Anyways! Side Note!! I'm planning another trip!!!​

So! As I was sitting down last night reading some stuff here on the disboards, I started to think about graduation. My parents garunteed me at least 2 grand for my grad gift and my grandparents are talking about 4-5 grand plus all of the gifts I am going to get at my grad party (we're inviting close to 300 people). I've known that I want to take a solo trip as soon as I had the money, but when I started to think about it, I wanna do two trips, one now, and one in 2012 or 2013 when fantasyland is finished. So! I'm going to break up the money into two trips and i'll still have a ton left over!! With the money left over i'm going to buy myself a macbook because my crappy toshiba SUCKS and is redicuously slow and all that jazz. Whatever I have left over after that will go towards my books for college and maybe some gas money. Wow! So! Logistics!

I am trying to decide when to go.....I'm very conflicted.......I could either go next April/March or next summer....i'm not sure yet.....but.....anyways....i'm going to plan as if i'm going this summer so that I can get the prices.

I want to go for 10 days, hopefully April 22nd-May 1st ish.

We left off with riding the great movie ride! We got off of tht and we went over to the streets of america.

From here we discovered the great movie ride! This is one of my favorites and my mom really likes the costuming part.

After that we walked out and walked through the backlot tour store--the open one that's next door to the backlot express. We took a pic of my mom in the mickey ears that she thought were cool!

We walked out and decided to relax by walking around hollywood studios. I remembered when I went two years ago there was an umbrella that would rain on you so I told my mom that we had to find it!

We kept walking around and found a few more picture moments!

We stumbled upon the muppets area and I remembered to take a picture of this little guy:

Thanks!!!!! I'm actually really happy that I took so many pictures!!! I know! I only have 8 1/2 days of school left and I am SOO EXCITED!!! The only thing tht's holding me back is a movie that I have to finish for mass media. I have to make a 10 minute movie and it's called how not to treat a baby....but i'm stuck...cause I need to film more....but the main character basically ditched me...so yea...i'm really stressing out about tht right now.....

Hollywood Studios Part 5​

We left off with walking past the muppets area.

We decided to walk into the wonderful christmas store and I ended up buying an ornament: It's the miniature version of my princess ears that I bought the last time I went. It was actually quite funny because as soon as we walked in my mom looked to her right and squealed and said "DEVA! GET OVER HERE! I FOUND YOUR ORNAMENT AND WE ARE BUYING IT!!!" I was so giddy! I think it was $5.99 and that was our very first Disney souvenir!!!

I saw these ornaments and I wanted them soooo badly!!!! But they were like $30 and I wanted to wait and get something I wanted more!

After this we sat down at Pizza Planet and looked at our map. We looked at the clock and realized that we should probably start heading to Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre for our 3:10 pm ADR. We walked past these guys and I almost stopped to take some photos and autographs with them but we just didn't have enough time.

We ended with us stopping to say hi to Mater and Lightning McQueen. We then booked it over to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre to make our lunch adr's. Here was the sign outside:

We sat down and started watching the cool commercials. We had a pretty awesome waiter, he was obviously gay, which made it that much better!!! He was sooo funny and sweet! I got out my handy dandy notebook which I had filled with hints and tips for all of the restaurants and other stuff. We knew that we had to try the milkshakes and we couldn't decide on one to share so I got a vanilla one and mom got a strawberry one. Mine was really good! thick and creamy! I wish it was a little bit more vanilla-y though. Mom's strawberry shake was just average, she said that they made it with nesquick and for that price and the atmosphere she thought that they would have been homemade. Here's our shakes:

After that we ordered the onion rings. They were supprisingly good! The batter was great and the onion didn't fall out of the batter like some of them do.

We both had the angus chuck cheeseburger and I thought that it turned out really well! It was cooked perfectly medium rare and was really juicy! The only complaint I have is tht the bun got a little soggy, but it comes with the territory. Mom's wasn't cooked how it was supposed to--it was well done but it was supposed to be medium.

I was tempted to get dessert, but we were both completely stuffed by the end so we decided to hold off and get dessert later that evening. When we were walking out I took one last picture, but it didn't turn out tht great.

Hollywood Studios Part 7​

After we left Sci-Fi we looked at our map and decided to try to go on Toy Story Mania since we had never been on it before. We walked over and I snapped these pics of the TSM area before we got in line.

We went and looked at the time and it was 80 minutes.....too long for us.....so we decided to come back later. We went over to one man's dream and looked around! It was actually pretty cool! I'd never been in there before and it was a neat experience. Here's the pictures that I took:

for the sci-fi photos, has definitely got me excited for our meal there, esp as I'll be ordering onion rings and the angus chuck burger!!!
