Shop the Block 2019 -Bonus miles are POSTING NOW!

Post # 7 on the first page is where i'm putting all the reports of successful coupons (i didn't make note of who reported this BTW)
Global Pet Foods: Shop the Block prints on receipt ****Posted to account As Bonus Air Miles"

Looks to me like you got a dolt of a cashier "back end coupon" ?? yeah .. not sure what she meant by this but I'm sorry, looks like it didn't work for you.

I’m ticked, because I bought special treats there for my puppy (she got spayed, so a couple of new chew toys were in order!), but they don’t carry her brand of food so I’m not going back into spend more money. I may go in and ask them to refund/repurchase the items (just based on the receipt), since it’s a problem on their end. This promo is hard enough without the stores screwing up.

Do it! The Mega Miles or last year's STB I bought stuff from my local Global Pet Foods. The Cashier did the coupon completely wrong... more miles but it didn't count.

I brought everything to another Global Pet Foods out by my Dad and explained why I wanted to have everything refunded and purchased again. The Manager (maybe Owner?) was completely fine with doing that for me. Then the STB or MM coupon worked.

Bought the Lotto gift cards this morning. What I didn't realize is that you get 10,000 points for a $50 spend for the rest of the week. That's what showed when I bought them so I had to go to customer service to get the other 2000 points. They were not aware of the offer but gave me the points anyways.
Bought $200 in Lotto, got 48,000 points. BIL will get $100 for xmas, DH will get $50 (he buys one lotto ticket a week so that will last) and the other $50 will purchase scratch tickets that are gifts for others. This, for us, was a really good buy.

Question about Amazon - my purchase is going to include 1 marketplace item so I have made sure that my total before this item is over $100 but another of the items is a pre-order so will this still count towards my $100 purchase for STB? Haven't ordered yet as I am still finding things to buy. I see that my order is going to ship on different dates but my grand total before taxes is $125. I wasn't going to do an Amazon shop since I didn't have the $100 for STB but then my clock radio died and I found a couple of movies I wanted to buy so now I have an order.

I personally wouldn't risk the pre-order as they do not charge you until it ships and the price could change (have had that happen).

Thanks - I found something else to order instead - all these things happen for a reason - just broke the strap for my fitbit so decided to order new ones.

Wait, what? What's Marketplace item? How do I know if I have one? Something in one of my two orders said something about marketplace items don't ship to a gift registry, but I didn't understand and am not using a gift registry so I ignored it. What did I do?!

OMG!!! Husbands can be trained!!! Mine just said to me, "I need to get a new hard drive. I guess I should go to Staples rather than Best Buy." YES, YES, YES. He then follows up with, "I guess I should use my Mastercard instead of my Visa." YES, YES, YES. Walks out the door then comes back in and asks, "Whose Airmiles card should I use?"

I am so very proud lol!!!!

you're fine! If the bottom line in your email confirmation shows you spent over 100 it doesn't matter where the stuff comes from. That just means it's supplied or even shipping from someone other than Amazon direct, you're still paying Amazon but they will submit the money to the seller. Hubby sells text books thru them occasionally. Have you ever shopped at ETSY? It's kinda like that. One of the easy(er) ways to make sure it's all being fulfilled by Amazon is to select Prime items in the filter on the left just above free shipping.

again, you'll only need to use your pre tax amount shown in your email confirmation, airmiles doesn't care what you bought or how it's supplied.

I really don't know what marketplace is either other than I got the same note about shipping. I just think it isn't provided by Amazon itself. I know that people have mentioned about things shipping in separate shipments and having to follow up to get their bonus miles and since this shopping was not for me I didn't want the other person to have to call and fight for their air miles. I ended up not buying the marketplace item because it said it may not arrive until Dec 23 and it was a kit to make your own Christmas crackers and I didn't want to chance it.

Update on one of my online orders from the wee hours today (was it super late or extremely early?!?!) -- just going thru my email and discovered that Saucony has a 20% sitewide sale on but it didn't get applied to hubby's shoes. Figured i had nothing to lose so i opened the chat window and POOF in less than 10 minutes I have $34 refunded to my AMEX card!!!

can i get airmiles (including the Friday 20x) for indigo gift cards at indigo.ca through airmileshops?
Yes, it's one of the only stores that lets you earn miles for buying gift cards AND Indigo has 10X the miles PLUS the 20X from the airmilesshop as well. SO, it you were to buy a $100 gift card it would play out like this:
  • 5 base miles 1/$20
  • 45 miles for the 10X (50 - the 5 base already given)
  • 95 miles for the 20X (100 - the 5 base already given)
  • total miles =145
turn around and use that gift card and you'll earn that 145 AGAIN!

i will have to remember this for next year. I rarely have to buy $100 worth of anything from indigo but could give everyone books next year haha!!

After grumbling that I couldn’t do even ONE amazon.ca $100 order, much less two orders for Dh and me, I spent over $350 on amazon in an hour lol!

First, I knew I had about $20-30 in toys to buy. Then DH said he needed to buy some electronics stuff for a friend, so about $30-40 there. Of course I was so close I figured I might as well do it so I ordered a $40 phone charger case I had been debatingfor our upcoming Disney trip.

Next up was to buy a super duper fancy Vitamix (birthday/Christmas present from my mom to my DH) from Costco.com. Decent deal for US$300 (about CAD$400). Decided to do a quick check on amazon.com (already shopped around last night) and my browser accidentally pulled up amazon.ca. Next thing I know, I catch a glimpse of a Vitamix for CAD$230! Turns out it is a reconditioned one (which I was already considering) for wayyy cheaper than they were asking anywhere in the US (even amazon.com). I threw in a $30 3 yr extended warranty and checked out of Amazon $280 later.

Saved well over a hundred bucks :) :) Go Canada!! So rare for something like that to be cheaper in Canada vs the US.

This has been a $$ last few months! In addition to a $250 Vitamix, we have dropped almost $1k in three iPhones and accessories, another $300+on a pre-Black Friday laptop, $300 on a ukelele for my mother’s birthday, over $700 in SeaWorld tickets, plus another $2k+ for our 2 week Christmas WDW trip and more. On top of the additional expenses of Christmas anyway (Thanks goodness my family have been warned that this year Christmas will only be trinkets). Good thing I budget by year and not by month. I find my expenses very lumpy and this year particularly so. We only replace electronics every 3 years or so and of course, we happen to all be due at the same time lol.
