I am home with surgery and bored so what do I do? I find out about the Shop at Home out of business sale. All their stuff (read jewelry) is marked at least 50% off. Their prices for gold etc were not bad to begin with provided you know the gram weight. I bought 5 rings ! One silver, and 4 gold with stones. I know my prices and these were very good. For example,One white/yellow gold 14K accent ring was only 79 for 6 grams of gold....you do the math!! It is only a little over 13 per gram...that is outrageous with the price of gold. I am staying away from there but that does not mean you guys cannot benefit.

Since everything is 50% off, that means that the items were originally overpriced by a factor of at least four, so now they are only overpriced by a factor of more than two.

Another question is if they are actually going out of business, or is that just the name of the sale. Read it closely, it may be a "going out for business" sale. Also, you might find out where they are based and the laws there. Some states/localities have laws that a GOOBS can only be done within 60 days, must be licensed, and the company must completely shut down operations at the end of the time or they can be charged with criminal fraud.
