Shonen Jump magazine?

Our son is a big Yu-Gi-Oh fan, and lately, he's been asking for a subscription to a magazine that is Yu-Gi-Oh related, called Shonen Jump.

Yep - DS is 13 and loves his Shonen Jump. I subscribed for him a year ago via the website and everything went well. In fact, thanks for the reminder because I need to renew for his birthday.

My boys both love that Japanese animation. A book series they love is Ruroni Kenshin.

I don't get it but it miraculously has my youngest reading, so it's all good!

I'll admit, I'm a purist, and for a long time, I've tried to resist the "comic book" in preference to real books.

But since DS has found these, he's actually started to read other, mom-approved books as well, including the "Goosebumps" series and the "Illustrated Classics".

My DS is also a huge Shonen Jump fan. He has had his subscription for about 2 years. I've looked thru it, just to make sure it is appropriate and I have seen nothing worse than you would see on the YuGiOh Cartoon. AND, he is reading....I'll take that any day!

My dd has subscribed for years, be aware that it has more than one series and can be addicting to other anime series. DD still loves it!
