Shoes??

I personally love my Crocs (cleo) but they don't make them anymore....you can find them on ebay...just bought a new pair for Disney in Sept. I have heard great things about Keens too...Hope you find something you love! Good Luck.

Having survived the monsoons of May '09, I'd recommend shoes that let water drain out, dry quickly, or a couple back up pair to alternate while they dry. My crocs mary janes served me well under those circumstances. I also had a couple of pairs of malindis which I switched to at night.

I like Reef flip flops, Dansko sandals, and NB sneakers. I rotate when I am there more than one day between 2- 3 pairs.

I just got back. I had purchased two new pairs of New Balance 846 walking shoes two weeks before the trip. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, and there are half a dozen pairs of New Balance 811s in my closet. I had a pair of Crocs which I wore in the room and down to the food court.

One key piece of advice which wasn't here (or I missed it, sorry) is to wear whatever you are bringing a LOT first. I read all these stories about people buying crocs only to find they cause blisters AT WDW. Well, please, try them first, people!!! WDW is not the place to experiment with a new kind of footwear and discover they might give you blisters. Everyone is different, but you can find out for yourself what works ahead of time.I

I am a firm believer of "training" my family for a month or more before we go. We walk together like 1 - 2 miles four or five times a week, and *KEY*, wearing the shoes we plan to bring. If there are any issues, they will generally come up soon enough to switch to another shoe. Yes, we will be walking more at Disney (8 - 10 miles a day average) but the training and testing helps a lot.

Personally, I bring two pairs, crocs and sneaker/merrell trail walkers. I alternate based on how I feel and weather - sneakers aren't so great in the flood-like deluge you often get.

Oh, and btw, no offense, but I don't see myself (or family) wearing anything from Payless to WDW! Worth the $$$ for something that's better quality.

There's my $.02. Hope it helps someone :-)

Sneakers are always best in the park for comfort. If you're going for style remember there will be a price to pay.

I absolutely love, love, love my Fit Flops. I got them about a month ago and I've been wearing them wherever I go to "break them in". I have never had blisters, and I plan on using them as much I can on my next trip to WDW in 2 days! :goodvibes

When I first bought my pair of shoes, the salesperson that assisted me said that she has many problems with her feet and back, and that she couldn't live without her Fit Flops! My sister, as well as my mom, wear Fit Flops too and absolutely adore them! :yay:

I wear Crocs in the hospital for work, but I would not wear them all day in the park. I wear my most comfortable tennis shoes or sandals, ones that are well broken in...
