One key piece of advice which wasn't here (or I missed it, sorry) is to wear whatever you are bringing a LOT first. I read all these stories about people buying crocs only to find they cause blisters AT WDW. Well, please, try them first, people!!! WDW is not the place to experiment with a new kind of footwear and discover they might give you blisters. Everyone is different, but you can find out for yourself what works ahead of time.I
I am a firm believer of "training" my family for a month or more before we go. We walk together like 1 - 2 miles four or five times a week, and *KEY*, wearing the shoes we plan to bring. If there are any issues, they will generally come up soon enough to switch to another shoe. Yes, we will be walking more at Disney (8 - 10 miles a day average) but the training and testing helps a lot.
Personally, I bring two pairs, crocs and sneaker/merrell trail walkers. I alternate based on how I feel and weather - sneakers aren't so great in the flood-like deluge you often get.
Oh, and btw, no offense, but I don't see myself (or family) wearing anything from Payless to WDW! Worth the $$$ for something that's better quality.
There's my $.02. Hope it helps someone
