Shoes

I have a paranoia about my feet. It's one of my biggest fears about going on holiday, that i'm going to get blisters and sores etc.

I am taking my crocs with me, but i also wish to take a pair or slip on pumps with me which i know and love. My only question is, do they have any dangly rides in which my shoes might fall off? And if they did fall off would they be able to retrieve my shoes?

Sorry if it seems like a silly question.

I'm open to suggestion about any other comfy shoes that might not fall off my feet?

i'm sure there'll be plenty of dangly rides ready to rip your shoes off - however most rides and rollercoasters have you sitting down with your feet on the floor - should be ok

and if u are worried about losing a shoe, take them off before u get on and put them in ur bag or something.

i can see it now, flying shoes....

The only ones I can think of at the moment are Soarin at Epcot and Duelling Dragons at IOA. There is a net bag under the seat on Soaring for you put your shoes in and I think Duelling Dragons has lockers at the entrance.

I am sure that if there are others, someone will let you know.

Sea World also has Kraken which is floorless. I wouldnt worry about your shoes coming off on the rides, ALL disney attractions let you take a bag on with you - including rollercoasters! So if you are worried just put your shoes in your bag. Sea World and Universal do not allow bags on the coasters, but you are fine on everything else. If you were to loose your shoes on a rode I am 99% certain you will get them back, but probably not until the end of the day!!!

I never get blisters because i always wear worn in shoes, and its not because of lack of walking - I'm a theme park comando, there at opening and dont leave till they kick me out! One Tip - make sure that your shoes are well worn in, but take some blister plasters just in case. I find moleskin is also very good.

The ones which you have a chance of loosing your shoes on sometimes have a space at the far side of the ride for you to store them... or you can just take them off and either sit on them or as I have been known to do... give them to DH to hold as I tend to hold on to the restraints for dear life!

OMG my stomach has just lurched with the mention of soaring. I am terrified of heights and not having anything to put your feet on uuuuuhhhhhhhh.

I don't think you can beat a comfy pair of training shoes.

I too easily blister & despite wearing well broken in trainers in 2005, I had blisters on my middle toes that were bigger than the end of my big toe. Last year i discovered crocs, bought before i went to make sure they were comfi (although, no need) and body glide which is a bit like a deoderant stick that you rub around & between the toes to stop chafting. I only got 1 small blister & covered that with moleskin which I had from the chiropodist. Not answered your question but thought info might help. Oh, I put my crocs in basket under chair on soarin.

thanks for all your help. Not so paranoid about loosing my shoes or feet now.
