I am going to WDW in July. I know crazy but it's the only time we can go. I have heard talk about moleskin and good tennis shoes. Here's my problem. I hate Tennis shoes in the summer and so does DD. Has anybody ever worn like a good pair of sandles? I am talking like the good kind from Lands End that have good support.

Just looking for other options then Tennis shoes.

I have another vote for crocs, I have them and love them! I also like mafsuto sp thanks Jill

I love all these shoe threads. They really crack me up :rotfl2: .

I have to chime in about the crocs though. They aren't for everybody, or at least not for me. I strongly advise trying them on before you puchase. I have a fairly narrow foot and they just weren't for me.

Tevas on the other hand...

Well enough said, I'm sure this thread will take off.

We will be there in July as well (our fourth summer trip so add us to the crazy list - my wife is a teacher so that is the only time that works for us) and I am 100% sure my wife will wear sandles all day everyday. I think its more that they just provide good support and be something that you are used to wearing :earsboy:

July to crowded for me. End of August is a lot less crowded. :wizard:

I won't wear tennis shoes. I can't stand them I wore Flip Flops last year at Animal Kingdom and I wear flip flops nearly everytime I go to Disneyland. Never a problem for me. So I would assume as long as your sandals are worn in that they would be fine.

Another vote for crocs-actually we wore Payless brand Airwalks in Sept. and for the first time had no tired feet. :rotfl2: I wore the birkenstock style but since then I've worn the clogs all around town. When I do switch back to my Reeboks, my feet really pay for it. We are leaving in 4 days and I'm planning on picking up a pay of "real" crocs at Henry's Ranch Market. I've noticed that my Payless ones are starting to compact a little.

Oh, a further note, I was at Walmart the other day and they have an imitation croc too-I picked them up and tried them on. They were much heavier then my Airwalks and much harder-no bounce. Just my opinion.

4 days and counting :cool1:

Here's a vote for Clark's. I love the support I got from their sandals, yet the shoes are so light I hardly notice I'm wearing them. The soles were made like sneakers, so they are somewhat thick and shock-absorbing, and the straps across the top of my foot were held in place with velcro. Personally, I have yet to find anything better for my feet, but these sandals may not work for everyone.

here's a pic of the shoes I wore at WDW in OCT, what I wrote after questions were asked after my trip report:
"Hi all, thanks for all the wonderful comments about my report. I was hesitant to write it, but loved reading many reports before, and even printed a few to take, during my trip that I thought I'd try to share. Here is a pic of the shoes I bought, they're made by SAS, can't find them online, except on ebay. Mine were like this except black and had no backstrap. VERY comfy, and worth the money, every cent, even if they're not the most stylish."

Crocs! Crocs!! Crocs!!!

You are probably going to get wet at some point (from rain, water rides, etc.)and these shoes allow you to keep walking in them.

"make it blue..."

Love my Teva Mush flip flops.....wore them all week in the rain in October

Tevas are great, but so are crocs. I've worn both to wdw, but i think teh teva sandals did it best for me, however, no problems with either!
