Hi there!

We just got back from our trip to Disney, and while we were there we went to Hoop de doo review at the Fort. On the boat ride back to the Magic Kingdom, I noticed a tree, with several pairs of white shoes hanging from the branches. This was just before the part where you can see the remains of the old River Country water park, if I'm remembering correctly?

A cast member was standing right next to me and I asked if he knew what was up with the shoes, but he didn't. Does anyone here know? Thanks! :)

One cast member told us last year it was cast members who retired. I never even noticed them before,

They have been there for years, except a couple of years ago they cleaned them out and didn't allow them back until last year. It was a tradtion that the College Program Cast Members tossed them into the tree just before they left. It's called the "Sneaker Tree"

We were told on one of our boat rides that the "shoe tree" was formed by planting a shoe in the water years ago, and every year it grows different shoes. :goodvibes I like that story!
