Shoes in restaurants?!?

I think the WDW restaurants do require shoes and it's an okay rule I guess. At least they haven't said anything when we dine without our pants. That would be the proverbial straw for me. I mean how could you truly get your money's worth at those buffets with pants on?

Yeah me too. Walking 15 miles a day, in the heat of summer on the black pavement, then stepping in bathrooms is all par for the course for my feet.

I think this is a joke. But it may be possible that the OP is from somewhere like Australia or New Zealand where going barefoot is fairly commonplace. Who knows.....

Why -- because it deals with a personal pet peeve of mine.

Whenever we stay club level, there are always people who come to the lounge barefoot. Drives me crazy.

One time the concierge told the guy he would have to go back to his room and put on shoes. Another time, the concierge told me, "We like people to feel like they're in their own homes."

I replied, "That's fine, but I don't want to feel like I'm in his home."

Yep. I just stayed AKL-CL and there were people who thought it was okay to stroll out of there rooms in a robe and no shoes to get some breakfast. OMG, put some clothes and shoes on for pete's sake!
