Shoes in Alaska

I can't recommend my Vessi shoes enough.
They were amazing in Alaska last year and everytime it rains I wear them now at home.
I got the kids cheaper hiking waterproof shoes and they were great, but my Vessi shoes were worth the cost.

As it turns out... we lugged our lightweight hikers to Alaska and barely wore them! (The weather was gorgeous the whole time we were there.). I did wear them on our helicopter to the glacier, but I think I would have been fine in my tennis shoes and overboots.

That being said, if we hadn't brought them...
