Looking for a good pair of walking shoes/sandals for our upcoming trip. Preferably water-proof for those wet rides! I have been told by several people that Crocs are great for Disney but I have never owned a pair and not sure that that is the right thing to buy. Any suggestions for comfortable yet not ugly sandals?? ANY suggestions for footwear would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I've worn crocs, but will only wear them again if there is rain forecast that day. At the end of the day, my feet were always more sore while wearing crocs as compared to sneakers.

A good pair of sneakers are best for me.

Worn in sneakers are the best..I would put on my crocs for the shorter trips around the world, but not for the long hauls walking around...

these are really cute :) Can you buy there Canada? if so, where?? Thanks my toes need some sun :lmao:

In Edmonton most of the stores that specialize in walking shoes carry them although they vary in the lines they carry.

:cool1: I hate closed in shoes in hot weather. I wear Adiadas flip flops but they are cushioned and come in different colours. At one time I could only buy them in Plattsburg, this summer I found them At Foot Locker & Sports Experts in Montreal. They are soo comfyI have never had sore feet at the end of the day. A gain it is what you are used to.:) :) :) :)

I've never worn Crocs at Disney, and honestly wonder how people do it. I have a pair for wearing around the house, and I admit after an hour in them, my feet are not happy. Can't fathom what a day at the park would be like!

I'm a huge fan of Keen shoes - it's pretty much all we ever wear (DH, the kids and I). From Newport or Venice, to my favorite Carmel's - there are plenty of style options - assuming you can get over the toe box styling!

Ultimately, it's what you are comfortable in... and make sure you've done the worn in period BEFORE hitting Disney!

I know alot of people don't like them, but I recommend Crocs for Disney. I've worn them during my last 2 trips, the whole time and had no foot issues. (and thats coming from someone with bad foot problems!...me)

Would never wear crocs for Disney! I can't stand them, and the only time I wear mine are for short short trips to the store, or around the yard.

I just purchased my first ever pair of Keens! I LOVE THEM!!! So comfy! I will be looking at the sandals for summer and for disney! Seriously, go try them!!! I found mine at Winners for about half of the regular price!!!

Dh wears Crocs alaot when we are there, however I find that alternating footwear takes alot of stress off of tired feet. I personally only wear Birkenstocks (softbed), there's alot more support. If I need to alternate I always make sure to bring along my Asic Gel Nimbus runners (named after a cloud cause they are like walking on a cloud). I would just make sure to have some variety especially if you get a blister from one pair, the worst is to have to wear the same ones the next day overtop of a bandaid and an sore spot....oweeee!

I always wear my Birkenstocks. You can always throw a cheap pair of flip flops in your back pack for water rides, although Birkenstock has some great waterproof styles.:hippie:
