Shoes for cooler (and maybe wet?) weather

We are annual September WDW vacationers. We have decided to go the week before Thanksgiving this year so our son can see some of the Christmas fun. We usually wear crocs sandals which work great in warm and wet weather but I'm wondering what to wear in the rain when the weather isn't scorching hot. I know it can still be very warm in November but I'm cold natured (I live in Houston so lows in the 60s and rainy would feel cold to me!) so does anyone have any suggestions? I'm guessing good, broken in tennis shoes are probably the best bet but I'm having scary thoughts of just trudging through the parks in soggy shoes... if there are shoes that have worked great for you, please share!

We always go the week before Thanksgiving and sneakers have been our best bet. We bring two pairs so we can dry one pair out during the day if needed. It can still be humid in November, so maybe not as cold as you think. But another thing about November is that usually the rains are the drizzly, potentially all-day rains and not necessarily the 20 minute gully washers you see in September. The lighter, longer lasting rains don't form the pools/puddles that you have to normally trudge through so it's a little easier to manage in sneakers.

Thanks for sharing your experience and advice! I am thinking we need to start breaking in a second pair of shoes for each of us ASAP! Thanks for the point about what kind of rain it is. The drizzling kind would definitely be more do-able in sturdy tennis shoes than the downpours we often see day after day in September.

Hi- another Houstonian here! We will be there beginning on Nov. 21st. We got Skechers Go Walks. They are super comfortable and the material dries very quickly. I got the slip on (not lace) type and I seriously think they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned- lol. :thumbsup2

I'm a Nike girl. I've been wearing them for years. I have plantar fasciitis and high arches and they are quite comfortable.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions! My true hope is that it rains so little that our feet won't be in danger of getting too wet! :).

best advise would be to bring two pairs and some newspaper in case one pair gets wet. Stuff the newspaper into the wet shoes to speed up the drying process.
