Shoe poll....

Okay, I am sorry to say this and flame away but.....I don't think those shoes are appropriate for a job interview.

Modest, black/navy pumps depending on the color of your suit would be more fitting and less expensive. Those shoes are too flashy and do not scream professional to me.

Totally not trying to be mean, just trying to be honest and helpful.

Yes I agree with this. If I was looking to hire a *nurse* especially I would be more impressed with someone who wore sensible shoes. Your not looking for a job in Hollywood. Silver shoes? No.

I am a nurse as well, don't pay a lot for high-heeled dress shoes because I do not have the occasion to wear them a lot, so I can go "cheap"...I'm not on my feet all day in a dress shoe like many people in the business world...in their case, I would think that spending upwards of $100 or more on their high heeled work shoes would be more palatable if it was a really good shoe.

Would you have places to wear a silver dress shoe other than on this job interview? And are you the type who would wear a silver dress shoe other places, such as with jeans to go out clubbing or whatever??? If so, then they might be worth the investment.

You're not wanting to hear that it's probably not an appropriate choice for a job interview, so I won't tell you...I'll let you figure that part out for yourself.
