I am looking for anyone's experience or suggestions on how best to ship wedding items to Disney. We have welcome bags, water bottles and wedding favors that need to be delivered prior to our arrival. I was considering shipping to a UPS location but it will be inconvenient to have to drive to UPS to pick up all the items. My other fear is if the items are delivered to the hotel a day or two before we arrived that they may be misplaced.

I would just ship it to the resort. I always ship myself a package to our resort on our WDW trips. I use UPS ground and I can track it and see who signed for it when it arrives. Usually my package is there 2 days before me.(we check in on Sunday, UPS will only deliver M-F) I print out the tracking info from the UPS website and bring it with me just in case. I use the resort address that is on the conformation paper work. Then I write c/o or "hold for" my name(the name the ressie is under) and I put the check in date. Sometimes I add the ressie #. I put all that info on all sides of the box. I ship a ton of stuff like water, snacks, toiletries, etc. It's a big heavy box and I never paid more than $20 from NY. Also, I have shipped to all different resorts on property and never had a problem. The box is waiting for me at check in and bell services brings it to the room for us.

We shipped three boxes FedEx to three different resorts and had no trouble at all. Some of them arrived almost a week before we did, but the resorts are used to holding boxes for guests.

You can write "Hold for Joe Blow" on the box and then put "Check-in Date: X/Y/ZZ" - just don't put your actual reservation number on the box cuz then bad people can do bad stuff with it (or so I've been told).

Desnik,
Thanks for the info.

Lurkyloo,
Thanks for information. Without your advice, I would have put my ressie number on the box. It is good to know that they can hold packages for that long. I am having a case of custom labeled water bottles shipped directly to WDW and I was unsure if the packages would get lost if they arrived a week earlier than our scheduled check-in. As as always, your a wealth of information. :thumbsup2
