I've read on a few other threads that a lot of people ship water to WDW ahead of time through Staples. I'm just wondering why you use Staples instead of anywhere else. Is it the only place that ships water? I checked the wensite and it didn't seem very cheap. :confused3

We drive up andhave a station wagon, but this trip we're going with 9 people and that much water would take up half the car! Thanks!

Teachers get free shipping through Staples.
If you are a costco member, look there, price includes shipping (its under the office breakroom section)

Or if you are wanting more than water (milk, adult beverages) check out on the the grocery delivery sites
garden grocer or cant remember the other-- Im sure someone will tell you

Questions about Shipping to your resort are probably best asked and answered on the Resorts Board.. and that's where I'm moving this one to!

Thanks!

Thanks for moving it to the right spot! I tend to spend most of my DIS time in the other section so I automatically put it there. :)

Thanks for the info on Staples & Costco. I know I can get water at home about half the price, but it might be worth shipping for the convenience. Hmmm...I have a little while to think about it.

I just did a week at SoG (and purchased/shipped my water through costco.com), and nothing beats buying a half liter of water at a 90% discount (when compared to the resorts/parks).

If you order through Costco, the water is usually at your resort within 2-3 business days...

If you have water shipped through Costco (or anywhere for that matter) how do you address it? To your resort and pick it up at check in?

Ive never done that before but Costco has 8 oz bottles for .49 each which includes shipping.

Best to check with your resort for proper addresses, etc.

If you are ordering from Costco, remember that they do their shipping with UPS Ground, so make sure you have a physical address for your resort (no P.O. Boxes).

As for the order, itself, put the name of the person who is holding the reservation and confirmation number.

Again, it worked-out beautifully for me @ SoG, last week...

I order from Staples because they have Purified Water.

Costco sells spring water from local FL springs. I don't care for that water. Plus for the children, my PED recommends using purified water as different springs have different levels of minerals and can make very young children sick.

So whatever the price is, I order purified water from Staples. I think it cost $21 with shipping last Nov, but it was still less expensive than buy Dasani in the parks.

I just figured out I can get 144 bottles of water for about $42 - that's what - like buying 10 bottles of water in the park?! I think I'll be shipping it and leave the space in my trunk for more important stuff like luggage and beer. ;)

Will the WL hate me if I ship 7 cases of water there?! :lmao:

Ironically, I order through Staples because can get Poland Spring through them.

I'm always nervous ordering Poland Springs, because if they are out, they can substitute any other spring water. Poland Springs would be my "water of choice" :)

You don't have to drive the water up all the way from home. Before you get to Disney property make a stop at a grocery store and stock up on water and room snacks. Or have one person go very early the next morning.

Here's my 2 cents...we ordered water for the last trip and packed it with our diaper bag. We also found out that any CS will give you ice water for free, even if you are not ordering anything at all. Some say it doesn't taste great. DH doesn't notice it but I brought my single serve mix-ins and had "free" lemonade and fruit punch that was cold and I didn't have to carry it all day and drink it warm. Just a thought:)

We only live 2 1/2 hours from WDW, but the problem is still space in the car - if we pick the water up in Orlando where will we fit it? I'm talking about 6 or 7 cases at least! :) And once our car is parked at the hotel we don't like to see it again until we leave - we want to spend every available second in the World. :)

I heard the water there was gross so I want to bring our own. We usually bring our own but only need one case, this time we're having a mini-family reunion there.

Oh, and I just bought the single serve mix-ins yesterday! We don't leave for 6 weeks, but they were on sale Buy One Get One Free and I didn't want to forget!! :rotfl:

Has anyone considered bringing a Brita pitcher instead of bottled water? It really does get the taste out. And it's a lot cheaper!
