Shipping to your resort?

This thread has me checking out a whole bunch of sites that are normally expensive to ship to Canada like VS and The Disney Store. I might just end up spending a good chunk of money before I get to the resort.

If my arrival date is May 2, when is it too early to start ordering things? I mean if I have things arrive 1-2 weeks before May 2, is that too soon?

I am going next Friday the 18th.
I ordered April 3rd. It arrives and was signed for at the resort on April 8th! They said they do not have a problem holding a package 2 weeks or so!
I actually just placed another order on Disney shopping yesterday...$4.99 for t-shirts, $2.99 for Stuffed toys...can't go wrong

That was fast! I guess I'll start looking around and then place my orders at the end of next week that should give them enough time to get to the resort.

$4.99 for t-shirts...good deal if its shipped to the US I priced to have stuff shipped home is was like $38.....I may need an extra suitcase to take the stuff home

We always put all our clothes and stuff in a small suitcase and put the small suitcase inside a big one when we go down to WDW. It always work for us with minimum check in luggage on our way down. Coming back is a different story.

Lol we did this when we went down to florida (not disney tho) in March Break. I went crazy on ebay and stuff, where the shipping is normally $$$$$ to canada it was free or next to nothing to florida. All the stuff was there when we arrived and it was great!! I am right on the US border, so I think I may jump across the week before we leave for disney, do some food shopping (just nonperishables and water) and ship them off from over there. Great idea that I would never have thought about- last year we were constantly running to the food court for $$ snacks, this will be much better !!

I was wondering how we were going to get everything home! I have a huge tote bag that I bought on our cruise. I thought of putting our dirty laundry in there but was kind of worried that the bag may get caught on something and rip open and my underwears and stuff would be strewn all over the luggage pick-up turnstile when we pick up our luggage...

We are home from Disney...so Sad.
Both packages we waiting in our room for us!
It was great to have stuff waiting when we got there!
no stray underwear..Thank god

You can ship stuff down, mark it as a gift so it sails through customs.
Make sure to put on your package
Resort name
Hold for : (Your name)
Arrival : (Your arrival date)
address..etc...

We are ding this with stuff off the Disney shopping website...so expensive to ship to Canada...we'll order this weekend and it will be waiting for us when we get there!!!

I triple love this idea! I am going to try that when we go next. I also buy my Crocs when I go to the states. It's fun to get different Jibbitz from different areas.

It was so nice to have the packages there in our room when we arrived. I ordered a Tonne of stuff of the disney shopping website!!!
